Ease-of-use is the last step in customer acquisition. There's no shortcut.
To make the market aware of your software or online service it takes significant money
and a lot of effort. It takes even more to convince users to download, participate, and buy. But if your product is not easy to use, your newly acquired users will abandon it without a second thought.
User interface design ensures that people will use your online offering with pleasure. Although it's part science and part art, there is no magic -- the principles of good UI design are well known. But it's unlikely your engineers or product managers are equipped to undertake it.
Below are some projects where the goal was to take the user through an experience
and/or to make it easy to get something done. Although all of these projects are visually
appealing, visual appeal is not as important as the smooth, user-friendly functionality
these projects exhibit.
