Enron -- global redesign 2001 By 2001, it was time for a major redesign. The design of 1999 was showing its age, and had spawned a number of imitators among the Fortune 500. Enron's reach had become worldwide, and the web medium had matured along with the company, so I proposed a more modern, global look. I benefited from a large bank of photography that Enron had commissioned for all its collateral. The ultra-simple information design of 1999 -- only five major links -- had been a great success so we were careful to keep it.

In late 2006, almost five years after Enron fired thousands of workers and shortly thereafter declared bankruptcy, my redesign of 2001 lives on -- in a grim but entirely recognizable form.
